and allow fast, easy and accurage sanding of angled surfaces. There are several sizes and shapes of disks for different levels of sanding. In order to choose the correct sanding disk for the right job, we must distinguish among the various options. - very rough surface - disk #16 (very rare) - normal rough surface - disk #24 - medium rough surface - disk #36 - meduim surface - disk #60 - medium smooth surface - disk #120 - normal smooth surface - disk #220 - very smooth surface - disk #320 When using this particular disk, an electronic grinding machine is needed in order to control the very accurate speed which is required to ensure that the disk will not ruin the surface. The same procedure is needed for all very fine grinding disks. These are not recommended because they have a short life span. When using the grinding disks, the sculpture should be dry and without any corners. If a sander lower than disk #120 is needed, it is recommended to use very fine sandpaper and diamond pads by hand. NOTE - Red disks are for use on metals only. Black disks are for stone. When a disk gives off a burning smell, it is a sign that it is no longer working properly and it could leave black or brown marks on the stone. When these signs appear, it's time to replace the disk.
